Thanks for your message. Just to inform you that we are still trying to get at least the Moscow money out of Brussels. In cooperation, David Gee, Yuri and myself have formulated a letter to Gould, explaining the problems and asking to transfer the money (based on payments which have been effectuated by Spetsgeofysika and arguing that Yuri lost some people simply because he could not pay them, so he cannot either justify a money which he would have spent if everything would have worked normally...). My last contact with Yuri was beginning of this month, so, about 2 weeks ago. I hope that he has sent out the letter since then. David Gee wanted to try to make some additional (from person to person) action to see whether we can at least get the money for the easterners.
I myself don't expect anything more, but perhaps the argument that due to lack of money the instruments cannot continue to work will open some bank account. It is also true that I am not very optimistic, but we go on trying.
