The firm was founded in '92, with a strategic aim to develop transportable
compact chip set equipment with self-contained power supply, that could
be easily introduced at customers' enterprises.
The first pilot project of the new firm was an "ALFA-GEON" seismic
signal recorder, designed by an order and with participation of the GEON
Centre. The ALFA-GEON is designed for geological and geophysical
surveys led by the GEON Centre. This equipment has successfully passed
all tests and has been recommended for serial production. At the
request of the customer the developers have modified and improved the test
sample, thus giving birth to a family of modern recorders used at seismic
studies on a wide scale.
The LOGIS has developed a unified series of geo-radars used for detection
of the earth bulk's heterogeneities, located on various depths. At the
same time by order of the Russian Custom Committee the firm's engineers
have designed a geo-radiolocator for the detection of a smuggle in arenaceous
goods.
At the moment the firm is working on a new promising project. Based
on new laws of physics, the development of equipment for studying physical
and chemical properties of the substance is under way.
The Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design (NIIP) was organized in 1995 in ZHUKOVSKY town with the aim to develop target tracking radar stations based on fighter aircrafts. The first Chief of the Institute was corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, the General designer V.V.Tikhomirov, whose name has since associated with title of the Institute.
In 1959 the Institute was entrusted with a task to develop flak medium range missile complexes for anti-aircraft defence of the ground forces. Since 1967 the Institute has returned to development of the target-tracking radar equipment for aircraft, including weapons control and management systems for such aircraft as "MIG-21" and "SU-27".
Besides working in these two main directions - the development of the ground-based widget (the development of flak medium range missile complexes) and the airborne (weapons control system of fighter aircraft), these latter years the NIIP has won and carried out a lot of contracts for the development of civilian equipment's with the state enterprises. For instance, the Institute has created control and management systems for subway (metropolitan railways), the car engine management systems, different types of the geophysical instruments, grader, etc.
The widgets, made by the NIIP, are generally famed by original design,
perfect technology, performance reliability, small size and usability.
