HISTORY:

SPETSGEOFIZIKA, as an enterprise for geophysical methods of earth's subsurface study and prospecting for mineral resources, was founded in 1946 and, currently, is one of the state scientific and production enterprises registered at the Russian Federation Ministry of Natural Resources.
SPETSGEOFIZIKA today is one of the lead geophysical companies of Russia and, in contrast to others, owns a technical and material base and highly professional staff adequate to perform exploration and research operations with the application of a wide range of appropriate technique.
SPETSGEOFIZIKA, over the 50-year period of activity in the territory of the former USSR and overseas in the field of exploration geophysics, has developed through all stages of scientific and technical progress in geophysics and gained extensive experience of production operations in diversified geographical, climatic and geological conditions.

BASIC ACTIVITIES:

Prospecting and appraisal, detailed survey of oil and gas features, their preparation for deep drilling using 2D and 3D seismic data with further generation of a detailed three-dimensional field model;
Study of deep geological structure of large territories and regions with evaluation of oil and gas and other mineral resources potential;
Engineering and geophysical comprehensive survey with mapping of tectonic elements and evaluation of fracture network, identification of karst zones and voids of natural and artificial origin to construct large and long-term industrial and civil facilities;
Preparation of geological and geophysical data packages, reports for object, exploration and production operations licensing, as well as attraction of investors to participate in exploration, production and other projects in the field of oil and gas business.

(*) Ph. D. in Geology (1980, VNII Geofizika), mining engineer-geophysicist (1961, Moscow Exploration Institute), has been working with the enterprise since 1961. He has a number of research papers and certificates of invention in geophysics; has managed the enterprise since 1981.
