Subject:    INTAS-IA-96-03 duration

Dear Mr. Vardapetian,

on behalf of all the four Teams involved in our INTAS-IA-96-03 Infrastructural Action, i.e.:

I ask INTAS Officials to extend our project's duration up to the next March 31, 1999, on the base of the following motivations:
In the meantime, the Intas Partners (Milan and Uppsala(*)) will guarantee to Intas the 'visibility' of the state-of-the-art of the Project, using our Internet facilities and communications. [An updated version (October 1998) is already visible at my home-page http://daphne.irrs.mi.cnr.it/~mariano ,     but unfortunately at the moment some problems on our server arose, sorry].

Of course, if this request will be satisfied, it will be clear that all the already agreed statements in the Co-operation document will be shifted to the new expiry date of March, 31 1998, which would become the new Completion-date for our Project. Therefore, some articles of our Co-operation Agreement INTAS-IA-96-03 (Intas protocol 20 Oct., 1997, LG/rt/97123) should be updated in at least the two points regarding the Intas Scientific Officer (Art. 1.2) and the new duration of the project (Art. 2), I think.

Thank you for your attention and best regards;

yours sincerely

Mariano MAISTRELLO

(*) From September 1, 1998 our Uppsala Partner (Hermann Zeyen) moved from Uppsala to Paris-Sud University. Does it means that some our Official documents have to be modified? In such case, please, consider this in the new update of the Project, and make the proper corrections in all the formal Intas documentation related to INTAS-IA-96-03.
